Plain Dealer Endorses US Rep. Marcy Kaptur
We thought we’d ask in one of our completely unscientific polls what you think about the pick.
On Sunday, the Plain Dealer endorsed Toledo-area US Rep. Marcy Kaptur for the redrawn 9th Congressional District seat for the March 6 primary.
With its endorsement, the newspaper shunned US Rep. Dennis Kucinich, the longtime Cleveland-area politician — a pick referred to “as comfortable as an old shoe.”
The contest’s third Democrat, Graham Veysey, was also passed over. However the newspaper noted that he has a “voice that needs to be heard.”
We thought we’d ask in our completely unscientific poll what you think about Kaptur’s endorsement.

Is there really any surprise with this? Dennis has been anti-establishment/big business his entire career. The Pee D was one of the voices against him when, while Mayor of Cleveland, he stood up to CEI and held on to Muni Light. Ask residents of Cleveland who are paying 40% less for their electricity than First Energy customers how they feel about that.

I believe all news sources should remain impartial. Report the news and DO NOT endorse a candidate. I feel by choosing sides the news sources are putting themselves in the fray and the readers (or listeners) can no longer trust everything that source is saying, it becomes skewed.

Andrea, I absolutely agree with you. Newspapers and broadcast news no longer report the news, and no longer abide by the standards of impartiality that they should.

Is anyone aware that MK wants to freeze federal money for science? That she is against stem cell research. That she seems to be more Pro Life than Pro Choice. That she voted against the Dodd-Frank bill. I know DK can be a little weird, but in the end, he pushes for more liberal views than MK. I'm a middle of the road type of guy and for right now, I think that MK is just way to conservative for me. Would like to hear more to change my view about MK's views and less negative nonsense against DK.

Good point Andrea, regardless of who the PD endorses, the practice should end. I don't give a hoot what they think and never have. Now that we know the PD are biased, we need to look elsewhere for neutral, unbiased information. They are cutting their own throats with these endorsements, like they mean anything anyway! Thanks for showing your true colors PD, good job.

They also endorsed Joe the Plumber for the GOP nomination. Either they really, really, really want a Democrat to win or they have hit a new low in credibility. My guess is the latter.

Even Joe the Plumber is not as biased as you John.

Ten things conservatives hate:
1. Facts
2. Logic
3. Women's equality
4. Gays
5. Blacks who aren't subservient to whites
6. Poor people
7. Hispanics who like to speak Spanish
8. Non-Christians
9. Universal health care -- unless it's Medicare for today's senior citizens (tomorrow's seniors, well....you're out of luck)
10. The environment

Folks, it's really easy to change your profile to include your last name. Did you know you can also upload photos to your profile? Pretty cool stuff.

Dennis K. is a political Farce that even most Democrats avoid when possible. Please let Ohio not be the laughingstock of the body Politic.
