The night couldn't have been planned better. On a hot, humid night that was downright tropical, Shades of Steel performed to a relaxed group of lawn-chair and blanket-sitting visitors on the south lawn of the Avon Lake Public Library.

Shades of Steel, a popular Akron-based trio, played an hour of music including Bahama and tropical-island inspired tunes and a little pop thrown in for those inclined to dance.
